September 27 – October 4, 2012 ENJOY A REMARKABLE VOLUNTOUR VACATION AND SAFARI IN KENYA WHEN YOU JOIN THE TRIBE’s TRAVEL CLUB FOR $199 AND BOOK YOUR DREAMTRIP HERE: http://bit.ly/HZXDHW

Just a few miles from Nairobi’s center, Kibera is the second largest slum in Kenya, with an ever-expanding population, and is the site of the next Manifest Foundation voluntour. Families in this region have dealt with abject poverty and limited resources all their lives, but you wouldn’t know it from their spirit! When you get here, you’ll not only learn about local customs and traditions, you’ll also come to understand that the heart of Kibera’s people is unfettered by circumstance.

This is your chance to experience what it means to share your time and energy to a community in need. On this remarkable voluntour, you’ll help refurbish classrooms at the Grace Community School and Orphanage, and build a sustainable fresh water solution to provide clean water and a means of income for children in the region.

What’s more, after your hard work and commitment, you’ll spend four days on a breathtaking safari in Massai Mara. The entire Kibera DreamTrip will leave you feeling humbled and blessed for what you have, not to mention grateful for embracing the opportunity to have your own life enriched, while you enrich the lives of children and families in need.

MANIFEST TRIP INFORMATION:

Join Spryte Loriano, the Executive Director of the Manifest Foundation for an unforgettable experience of service and safari in Kenya!

Our service project will begin with 3 incredible and life-changing days of humanitarian service in Kibera, Africa’s largest slum community. With more than 1 million people living, working and going to school within this community, you will see and learn about the ingenuity, sacrifice, hardships and the power of the human spirit from those who make Kibera “home.”

We will focus our work at Grace Community School and Orphanage, home to more than 60 orphans and 80 students from the area, who are in need of refurbished classrooms and a sustainable fresh water solution, which we will provide by building a RainCatcher and which will also help the children establish a water micro-business!

You will have the opportunity to visit several other well-run and established humanitarian organizations, like the Abandoned Baby Center, and will interact with the children and families you meet in many ways sharing in the local customs of song, dance and community!

We will request a list of your skills and match them to what is needed (from teaching to carpentry). This will provide you with an enriching experience! The wonderful impact you will have in just 3 days will be worth a lifetime of giving!

After this rewarding 3 days, you will spend 4 days on a first-class Safari experience on the beautiful Massai Mara, during the highest migration season in Kenya, then be flown back to Nairobi for your departure.
