Day 1-2 : USA-Bali
Your board your trans-pacific flight bound for the Indonesian Island of Bali, a legendary land of tranquility, love and spirituality. During your flight you will cross the International Date Line and “lose” a day, which you will regain on the return trip.
Day 3 : Welcome to Bali

You arrive in Denpasar and, after completing customs formalities; you are met by your Ultitude guide and taken to your waiting car for the trip to Ubud. Located in the island’s center, Ubud is the island’s artistic and cultural capital. After checking into your hotel you have the chance to relax. This evening we welcome you to Bali with a dinner at The Bridges Restaurant, where you will dine on fine contemporary cuisine in a unique artistic environment

Day 4 : Pakudui, Balinese Dance and Time at the Spa

After breakfast, your guide will be waiting to take you into the countryside around Ubud. During your excursion you will visit rice terraces and Tumbakasa village with its traditional Balinese house compound and Temple of Pura Kahyangan Tiga, You will then visit Pakudui village, where local people make household items from plaited-bamboo. Lunch will be served in a restaurant which overlooks the stunning rice terraces of Tegalalang.
After lunch, drive back to Ubud town to explore the sacred monkey forest followed by visit to Ubud Royal Palace and its market.
This afternoon you will be pampered by a one hour spa treatment at Komaneka Bisma spa with our compliments.
The spa is situated by the river. No visit to Bali would be complete without witnessing traditional dance and this evening you will be treated to a performance in a nearby village. Return to the town centre for dinner at Tropical Bale, another romantic setting for fusion dining.

Day 5 : Traditions of Bali

Today you will get a true taste of the local culture, traditions and lifestyles as you travel to the small village of Mas located about eight miles from Ubud. Upon arriving in Mas you will receive a blessing by a priest and then meet with an astrologer who will tell you about your destiny using ancient methods. Then it’s time to work with a local wood-carver to learn the methods of this ancient handicraft and for which the town in known. A hands-on cooking class teaches you more about the cuisine and the local ingredients. As the final touches are being put on the dishes, have a walk around the village before returning to the house to dine on your tasty creations. After lunch, you bid farewell to your village hosts and return to Ubud where the rest of the day is at leisure

Day 6 : Bali with the Top Down

Early this morning you will be picked up by your guide in a VW convertible and head to west Bali where we have designed the route to explore the island’s flora and fauna and meet the local people at markets and traditional village compounds.
Your first stop is Taman Ayun, one of the island’s most beautiful temples. You then continue through the countryside past little villages as you ascend to Beratan Lake located 3,600 feet above sea level. This volcanic lake is surrounded by spectacular scenery and you will take a local rowboat across the lake to visit the famous Ulun Danu temple situated on a small island in the lake.
Afterwards you drive through some of the most beautiful rice terraces on the island in the area called Jatiluwih stopping for lunch at a quaint restaurant offering fabulous views.
After lunch your guide will explain the terrace irrigation system which allows the locals to harvest rice up to four times a year. Finally you will visit Bali’s most famous sight, the sea temple of Tanah Lot. Located on a barren volcanic rock in the ocean, the temple is sometimes pounded by huge waves which create a magical setting as the sun begins its descent. You return to Ubud where you have many dining options to choose from.

Day 7 : Ubud to Seminyak via Julia Roberts’ Beach

Today, after breakfast you will depart Ubud for the southern beaches making several stops along the way. First you’ll visit Panglipuran, a traditional countryside village well known for its tidy row of traditional Balinese entrance gates and its unique architectural traditions.
Continue to Besakih the largest and most important temple on the island. Besakih, referred to as the “mother temple”, sits on the western slopes of Mt. Agung which, at 7,700 feet, is the island’s highest volcano.
You’ll stop for lunch at Mahagiri where you’ll dine on fresh Balinese cuisine while surrounded by rice field terraces and Mt. Agung in the background.
In the afternoon you follow small scenic roads through peaceful rural areas full of rice paddy terraces and plantations growing coffee, cloves and cacao.
As the afternoon comes to a close you arrive at Pasir Putih one of Bali’s most beautiful and most hidden beaches and used as the setting for “Eat, Pray, Love” starring Julia Roberts. You have a chance to relax on the white sands and swim in the crystal clear water before heading to your final destination, Seminyak. Upon arrival you check into your private villa replete with a pool where the evening is at leisure.

Day 8 : Seminyak

Spend a half day in Seminyak, a charming and quite chic area. With your guide and driver at your disposal, you can explore the island’s best boutique shops, offering a diverse range of products ranging from artifacts to clothing to gourmet foods.
Midday, stop at Metis for a delectable 3-course lunch. Metis offers a truly exemplary culinary experience in a sumptuous setting. Blending French and Mediterranean cuisine, this is one of the most sophisticated tables in Bali.
After lunch, continue your shopping and discoveries returning to your hotel at the end of today.

Day 10 : Full day Excursion to Bukit and Uluwatu

Set off with your guide and driver for a full day excursion of fabulous beaches, impressive temples and cultural immersion.
Start with a drive to the Bukit peninsula, home to some of the most idyllic beaches in Bali. The dramatic cliffs and winding shoreline contain hidden coves that are great for both surfers and non-surfers alike.|
You’ll reach the exclusive Semara Resort where, after enjoying the spectacular views from the cliff top, you’ll take their electric funicular down to the private beach. Relax on the golden sand and swim in the azure waters.
Lunch will be served in the Finn’s Beach Club Restaurant. A post-lunch coffee, tea or soft drink will be served on the beach before leaving for Uluwatu.
One of Bali’s most impressive temples, Uluwatu Temple is majestically perched on the edge of a steep cliff that towers above the legendary surf breaks of the south Island. At sunset you’ll witness a dramatic kecak performance at the temple.
